Created attachment 146975 [details] Error dump from Wine. After upgrading i386-wine-compholio-1.7.24,1 to i386-wine-compholio-1.7.25,1, playing flash videos caused an error message box to popup. Reinstalling pipelight-0.2.7.3_1 and deleting .wine-pipelight did not fix the problem. A simple flash game, with sound, still worked. What fixed the problem was to enable hardware acceleration and to increase local storage from the minimum of none to 10MB. I am using: FreeBSD 9.1-RELEASE-p17 FreeBSD 9.1-RELEASE-p17 #0 r268477: Thu Jul 10 12:56:00 EST 2014 root@:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC amd64 i386-wine-compholio-1.7.25,1 pipelight-0.2.7.3_1 Adobe Flash Player 14.0.0.145 I've attached the error dump provided by Wine.
A patch has been developed by Kris Moore and his patch needs to be approved by Gerald Pfeifer. These changes should be commited for wine 1.7.26. Over to Gerald pending patching of master port. @gerald: please assign to Kris once the patch has been approved (or me if the patch is not approved) @kmoore: please assign to me once patch has been committed, so that I can rebuild the port :-)
I have applied a couple of aspects of Kris' patch and provided feedback on others. In between that in the note of "What fixed the problem was to enable hardware acceleration and to increase local storage from the minimum of none to 10MB." in this report, can we close this?
I'm busy building packages for i386-wine-devel 1.7.26 (already 2 weeks behind). I'm sure Kris would like to test these to confirm that the bug is fixed.
I have updated the compholio packages with the changes made by Gerald. @kmoore: the ball is in your court.
What's the status of this? Can it be committed?
I think we can close this per my comment #2 three weeks ago. Steve, there is no specific patch to commit at this point, and the wine-devel port and with it the Compholio patchset have been updated once, if not twice since.
