Description Jens K. Loewe 2015-02-04 12:13:44 UTC
Trying to install docbook (git dependency) on a clean FreeBSD system fails because of missing xmlcatmgr. It should be added as a dependency.

Could you please provide the contents of /etc/make.conf, if it exists?

Could you also provide the *full* build log?

We have been unable to reproduce this, despite many similar reports.

On my system, textproc/xmlcatmgr is listed as a dependency:

 gjb@nucleus:/usr/ports/textproc/docproj % make all-depends-list | grep xmlcatmgr
 /usr/ports/textproc/xmlcatmgr

(In reply to Glen Barber from comment #2)
/etc/make.conf:

    WITH_PKGNG=yes
    MAKE_JOBS_UNSAFE=yes
    WITH_UNICODE=yes
    FORCE_PKG_REGISTER=yes

Not sure if something breaks here. Well, how can I "undo" the relevant part (I installed xmlcatmgr manually to skip this error) in this case?

Textproc/docbook builds and installs fine without xmlcatmgr.

Builds fine for me here as well. This IMO should be closed
