I hope this is not considered as abuse. There are people, mostly in .ru, who really want to see this available in ports.

Thanks.

I'm sorry for your trouble.

This port PostgreSQL, for platform business applications ("1C 8"), widely used in the former Soviet Union (Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, ...). Installing PostgreSQL database with patches for the platform (1c 8) is not so simple for FreeBSD.
Can anyone help with a committer for the port?

Hi!

Am I correct assuming that this is a port that applies a patchset to the standard port? I would prefer that it inherited the standard postgresql port then, rather than making a copy of everything. Maintenance will not work otherwise.

The patches for the service could be enclosed as a patch for in the main port, or perhaps as a slave port?

The contrib part could perhaps even be extracted to a separate port, or a slave port here as well?

No, it's own version of the port. A set of patches is very specific and tightly bound to the version of PostgreSQL and not frequently updated. At first there was an attempt to make a wrapper to the standard port, but then refused it because a lot of the specifics.

OK. I'll have another look at it.
