Hello,

please consider updating net/slurm. The current version is 0.3.3 but there is new upstream activity at

https://github.com/mattthias/slurm

This is the same maintainer and package which is already available at Debian.

Thanks

Hello Markus,

First off, this seems to be a fork of the original code from Hendrik Scholz.
The new fork is maintained by Matthias Schmitz.

The only change I can see from his commits is the switch from GNU build system to scons.

There does not seem to be any functional change whatsoever.

I tried sending a mail to both Hendrik and Matthias for a comment, but I've had no reply.

Please explain why you would like to have this port updated to 0.4.2 ?

Thank you,

/mich

Hello Michael,

I was under the impression that Matthias continued to support the original code base and can be considered the new maintainer of slurm. So I thought it would be a good idea to merge the FreeBSD patches with his version. The old homepage of slurm at http://wormulon.net/slurm appears to be non-existent and the distfile can only be fetched via distfiles cache.

I agree that the changes between his version and 0.3.3 are rather minor, except of the change to scons. If you think it's not worth the trouble, just view this e-mail as a pointer to new upstream activity.

Regards,

Markus

Hi,

Thanks for your quick feedback.
At this point I have no news from neither Hendrik, nor Matthias - I am worried about just switching source base without input from either one of them...
