Panic screen

WD 2TB SATA disk in a USB dock.
The dock is detected as:

Trying to rsync a directory tree to it, yields after a while a panic (see screen shots).
For the benefit of the search engine here is the transcript:

^Triage: I'm sorry that this PR did not get addressed in a timely fashion.

By now, the version that it was created against is long out of support.
Please re-open if it is still a problem on a supported version.
