The checksum was fine when fetched from the first site in MASTER_SITES (which is usually the default). However, the primary distribution sites (GNU) sometimes update unversioned files, which won't be accepted automatically.

The port has now been updated and an HTTP mirror has been added for the versioned mirror site. Hopefully, this can reduce issues with future updates.
