I'm a user of the fr.dvorak keyboard layout, as described by Leboutte here: http://www.algo.be/ergo/dvorak-fr.html . Note it's NOT bépo, which is another, separate, french dvorak implementation, which came later, which is why it doesn't have the name "dvorak".

FreeBSD console includes two fr.dvorak layouts:

 . fr.dvorak.kbd, which seems to me like a derivative: it uses AltGr instead of the ` dead key. Maybe it's a Mouette's implementation, there was a vast debate over this in linux years ago: Mouette had made a derivative of Leboutte's layout, and this was included by default in Linux; later, it was replaced by official Leboutte's, making old users unhappy (but not me!).

 . fr.dvorak.acc.kbd, claiming to be the "accented" version of the above, which is clearly not: it is actually a normal Leboutte version, with ` as dead key. It also adds ~ as dead key, which is not so in Leboutte - but I guess that's not enough to qualify it as "accented". It also does not map '$' correctly, which is normally `', and does not define the ASCII control codes anywhere. So I also couldn't switch splits in vi using Ctrl-W.

Following is a modified version of fr.dvorak.acc.kbd trying to address these issues; I think it should really be named fr.dvorak.kbd, and the current fr.dvorak.kbd should be renamed fr.dvorak.mouette.kbd or something. An actual accented version of Leboutte's layout is defined, it's called "eu" version on his website, and I do not use it so I won't implement it - but that's the one which should be named fr.dvorak.acc.kbd.

Even if you don't include the following file, please do something as the current fr.dvorak.acc.kbd is not practical / fully usable currently.
