Description Yuri Victorovich freebsd_committer freebsd_triage 2016-11-21 18:12:38 UTC
The symptom I see is that when PULSEAUDIO=off, qTox fails to play audio. See bug#214393 I also, like this user, observe the problem.

With PULSEAUDIO=off (which is a default), it shows devices in this format "pcm2:play:dsp2", but they don't work.

With PULSEAUDIO=on, it shows devices in the format /dev/dspN, and they work.

Please fix PULSEAUDIO=off.

Thanks!

I also sent the message to the OpenAL ML about the problem: http://openal.org/pipermail/openal/2016-November/thread.html
