See upstream bug.

Is the impact of this issue greater than discussed in the upstream bug, VDPAU, which is an option of limited applicability? The question is whether this is anything needing priority given the bug dates back almost half a year and mesa-stable was CCed on the fix commit so we can expect it to be in 17.0.4 at the end of this week.

Ah, you're right. radeonsi was fixed in Mesa 17.0.2 (affected VDPAU, Dirt Rally, and maybe more) while the quoted fix here is for radv (Vulkan) still slated for Mesa 17.1. Vulkan haven't been ported to FreeBSD yet is obviously out-of-scope.
