+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #224617 +++

Some ports have switched to devel/llvm50 already. Let's follow the suit, ideally, before 2018Q1 branches.

Sorry I missed this bug, actually don't think I received the email till just now. Yeah llvm50 works just fine as does the patch. The reason I set to llvm40 is because I thought that was the more common choice at the time.

Upgraded to llvm60 in r467748. If it gets behind in the future, feel free to bump the version. You have my blessing as long as you run some qa on it. =]
