Description Martin Birgmeier 2017-12-29 17:23:57 UTC
This is actually an enhancement request, not a bug report.

It would be beneficial to be able to run multiple Postgres versions in parallel (see for example https://www.postgresql.org/docs/10/static/pgupgrade.html). Therefore, would it be possible to change all the Postgres ports to install into their separate directories, e.g., /usr/local/postgresql10, /usr/local/postgresql96, etc.? Similar to how openjdk{6,7,8} does it. Plus create a wrapper/switcher script, also similar to openjdk.

Change title to match the current default version of PostgreSQL.
