There're FreeBSD Vagrant boxes: https://app.vagrantup.com/freebsd/. By default these images require to use Virtualbox (which works fine under FreeBSD) or vmware_workstation (which is not supported on FreeBSD).
It's possible to launch these images after converting them with vagrant-mutate (which seems to be broken though: https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=231755).

It would be nice to be able to use these official FreeBSD boxes without having to perform this extra step.
