Since upgrading to 12.2-RELEASE, the lid switch does not trigger S3 mode on my Toshiba Satellite, only after a fresh boot.  Instead, the machine keeps running while closed.

Manually putting it to sleep via the Lumina exit menu works, and the lid switch then works fine on subsequent closes until the next reboot.

This is a regression from 12.1-RELEASE.

FYI, the problem persists on 12.2-RELEASE and 13.0-RC!.
