I'd love to be more specific but there seem to be lots of things wrong with this port:

* Placeholders in /usr/local/share/archiva/bin/archiva are not replaced

* Placeholders in /usr/local/share/archiva/conf/wrapper.conf are not replaced

Could also be /usr/local/archiva/conf/wrapper.conf as it seems to install things in two places.

* Appears to need a user account, but Makefile does not include USERS and GROUPS (maybe it's supposed to be www?)

* Seems to look for it's webapp in /usr/local/archiva/data which is empty (maybe intended to be the data dir).

Probably more, that's as far as I got.

Could you fix these reports? And can update to 2.2.10 too.

I am closing this because uzsolt@ asked the reporter twice (July 2024 and March 2025) to provide fixes and update to version 2.2.10, with no response. The port has fundamental issues (unsubstituted placeholders in archiva.xml, missing user accounts, incorrect data directories) and is unmaintained (ports-bugs@). The maintainer-feedback flag has been unanswered since 2021.
