Description Michael Osipov 2021-06-23 17:57:44 UTC
As many other ports support to oeither go with libedit, libreadline, or none this port should support such a group too with switch between them and not force libedit if not wanted. The configure script fully supports these three modes.

Comment 3 Mathieu Arnold freebsd_committer freebsd_triage 2024-01-14 08:45:53 UTC
The port already has too many options, I don't see what would be gain to add three more.

(In reply to Mathieu Arnold from comment #3)

I concur, this wil in consistency with other ports leaving the option. This most affects bind-utils for nsupdate users, as far as I know.

As said, I'd be willing to provide a patch for this.
