Fetching the distfile fails. I got it from https://invisible-mirror.net/archives/luit/ now but that's a workaround.

The pathname for the dist file should have "/pub" before "luit".
My ISP forced that change ~2013, and I added symbolic links which
do not work with all clients.

    x11/luit: Update MASTER_SITES

    Add "/pub" which is the canonical path in FTP as site owner suggested
    Add the HTTP master site as submitter suggested
