Since the 5.24.0 update, many applications do not launch in the GUI, but will from the command line. If there's a way to log any plasma errors I would like to know, everything the KDE people say is to use journalctl, which obviously won't work in FreeBSD. Here are some applications that I can launch from terminal, but not from the task manager and application launcher (this isn't a whole list, just what I tried): dolphin kinfocenter kate gwenview krunner Applications that launch properly: konsole ksysguard okular seemingly all non-gtk applications krunner can launch all the above applications. When running the non-working applications from the command line, I see this is a common output: QKqueueFileSystemWatcherEngine::addPaths: open: No such file or directory I'm running 13-STABLE - 13.0-STABLE FreeBSD 13.0-STABLE #5 stable/13-n249455-5e730b3fdec
I don't see such problems. All applications run normally. FreeBSD 13.0-RELEASE-p7. KDE Plasma 5.24.0, KDE Frameworks 5.90.0.
Hmm, I saw another update with a kf5 package and some other random deps. Installed those and did a reboot and it seemed to fix it? I'll close this and if it reappears reopen the issue.
Hello. I'm running SMPLayer on FreeBSD 14.0-CURRENT,that works good, but on the terminal I see a cyclic error : (I'm using lxde) [root@marietto /mnt/da3p2/Backups]==> SMPlayer version 23.12.0 (revision 10207) ruunning on FreeBSD QKqueueFileSystemWatcherEngine::addPaths: open: No such file or directory SMPlayer version 23.12.0 (revision 10207) running on FreeBSD QKqueueFileSystemWatcherEngine::addPaths: open: No such file or directory how to fix it ?
