Building the port, the following has happened to me every time for a period of time:

=> nettle-3.10.tar.gz doesn't seem to exist in /usr/ports/distfiles/.
=> Attempting to fetch https://ftpmirror.gnu.org/nettle/nettle-3.10.tar.gz
nettle-3.10.tar.gz                               0% of 2578 kB   0 Bps

And there it stalls maybe forever.

If you go to 
https://ftpmirror.gnu.org/nettle 
on the browser you are redirected somewhere else, in my case 
https://ftp.rediris.es/mirror/GNU/nettle

If I try to manually download nettle-3.10.tar.gz from there to copy to /usr/ports/distfiles/ Firefox returns and error, so I guess the problem is in that Spanish mirror and with that specific file.

I've tried using another mirror:
https://mirror.kumi.systems/gnu/nettle/
and there it works fine.

It seems to be an error on GNU side for its mirror site in Spain. You could add MASTER_SITE_GNU, with your preferred sites, to /etc/make.conf.
