If one needs the report builder in libreoffice (a fairly standard situation for anyone using the database capabilities), it is necessary to rebuild from ports and remove the --disable-report-builder option.

That would not be a big deal except doing so has widestread ramifications -- updates to ports force things like gstreamer to be upgraded, which breaks packages as "unrelated" as darktable.  The net result is many things which could otherwise be installed via a package have to be rebuilt from ports.

seems this PR has been seen, applied and forgotten to be closed (or overcome by events carrying the same idea) see commit 6ffd18ecefc73a041332a8c824a2009f2bf88016
