I hereby submit a port of 'lcdproc', a driver program for the Matrix Orbital Serial LCD Displays. Fetch http://www.freebsd.org/~dwhite/lcdproc-0.3.4.tar.gz for the port. lcdproc runs a 'top' like display on the units, which connect easily to any PC with a serial port (or I2C bus for those of you who like I2C). Information on the devices can be found at http://www.matrix-orbital.com/. You can buy the units from LinuxCentral at http://www.linuxcentral.com/. The LCDProc homepage is http://lcdproc.omnipotent.net/. Since this is my first port submission I'll let someone else take a look at it and make sure I (and portlint) didn't miss anything. Yes, the patches are ugly hacks, I know. :) I will submit the patches back to the author shortly.
In case anyone discovers this, this port needs to be rebuilt, so hold off on working with this until I let you know. Doug White Internet: dwhite@resnet.uoregon.edu | FreeBSD: The Power to Serve http://gladstone.uoregon.edu/~dwhite | www.freebsd.org
State Changed From-To: open->feedback Originator request, see audit trial.

I uploaded a revised version, so we can finish this up. I'd like someone to at least review my work; this is my first port, fairly simple but stranger things have happened. I can commit this myself if you'd prefer. Thanks! Doug White Internet: dwhite@resnet.uoregon.edu | FreeBSD: The Power to Serve http://gladstone.uoregon.edu/~dwhite | www.freebsd.org
Responsible Changed From-To: freebsd-ports->dwhite Doug is now committer, so we'll let him take care of this one.
State Changed From-To: feedback->closed There's a new version of this, I'll just do it from scratch.
