The port security/tor was recently updated to 0.1.0.10.
The new 0.1.x series use libevent. FreeBSD ports have libevent-1.1
libevent-1.1 has a bug on FreeBSD when using kqueue (default).
This has been worked around in libevent-1.1a...

Fix: 

Upgrade libevent to 1.1a
How-To-Repeat: Run a tor server (the bug is not triggered when running as a client).
