Description rebecca+freebsd@bluestop.org 2014-06-21 15:42:50 UTC
I noticed that the Jenkins bug-tracking system has a "Sponsor this" button for each issue (e.g. https://issues.jenkins-ci.org/browse/JENKINS-23524).

I was wondering if we might want to do the same thing for FreeBSD using the Bugzilla plugin from https://github.com/freedomsponsors/freedomsponsors-bugzilla-plugin ?

Dear Bruce,

at the current point of time we do not plan to integrate FreedomSponsors as crowdfounding platform to get bugs solved. One of our major concerns is the risk of disputes being held without guidance and resolution options provided by FreedomSponsors itself, leading to an unsatisfactory situation for both, the sponsor and person, who may have solved the issue.

Despite that, we see the benefits and usefulness of such external solutions and welcome you and others to provide us with additional options for further investigation.

I will close the issue for now. If you know of any other platform that might be worth to take a closer look into, please let us know.

Thanks
Marcus
