Description Jim Pirzyk freebsd_committer freebsd_triage 2017-10-29 04:27:52 UTC
Can you merge my jim+freebsd@pirzyk.org accont with my pirzyk@freebsd.org account. I do not have the password for the latter (not sure there was ever a password set).

Thanks

Hello,

All @freebsd.org accounts use Kerberos passwords to login, see more details here: https://www.freebsd.org/doc/en/articles/committers-guide/kerberos-ldap.html

Please change your password as described at the link above, login as pirzyk@freebsd.org and leave comment in this PR to confirm ownership.

Hi, I don't have access to the FreeBSD cluster

Sorry, I don't quite understand. If you're a committer you should have SSH key for SVN access and for SSH access to FreeBSD machines like freefall. So you can use that key to SSH to pirzyk@freefall.freebsd.org and run kpasswd there to change your Kerberos password. Which will be your password for logging in to Bugzilla. If you're OK with using random password you can SSH (using the same key) to pirzyk@kpasswd.freebsd.org and reset your Kerberos password. Both freefall and kpasswd are accessible from internet.

If you lost your SSH key for some reason or haven't updated weak algorithm key before they were deprecated please work with clusteradm@ to replace it with new one.

All @freeebsd.org accounts on Bugzilla use Kerberos as authentication backend. So it's not possible to login to Bugzilla without resetting/generating Kerberos password first.

So I had turned in my freebsd commit bit for safekeeping a while ago but I still maintain several ports. I do not have access to freefall:

pirzyk@amigo:~
3>ssh pirzyk@freefall.freebsd.org
Permission denied (publickey).
pirzyk@amigo:~
4>

I suspect it was the weak algorithm key issue. How do I contact clusteradm@

Some information about key updates can be found here: https://wiki.freebsd.org/clusteradm/ssh-keys

I am not sure whether steps in section "Preferred " still works so section "Alternatives" is probably the one you need.

As an alternative you can just email accounts@FreeBSD.org to get more information on how to resolve this issue.
